Gurvinder Khurana
Director & Co-Founder, align
Gurvinder Khurana is a Director and Co-founder of London-based interior architecture and design consultancy align. The multi-award-winning consultancy is a specialist in workplace, but also works more broadly across hospitality, residential and mixed-use.
Gurvinder is both a passionate and a highly-creative designer, with a profound belief in the potential design has to create inspiring spaces for people to work, relax and live in. Constantly open to new influences, Gurvinder absorbs all that she comes into contact with, from the worlds of fashion, design, architecture and typography as well as from nature, and feeds the best of it back into her work.
Gurvinder is also an in-demand writer and panellist on issues surrounding design. She has served as a judge at the UK’s Mixology Awards and has been a judge twice over for the FX International Interior Design Awards. In 2020 and 2021, Gurvinder was a panellist or compere on a number of webinars hosted by IFJ Magazine in India, DrivenXDesign in Australia, Women in Office Design and real estate organisation CrewUK in Great Britain, as well as leading a specialist panel on women in architecture for a UK-and-Sweden collaborative event organised by the Department of International Trade. She has been a guest on talkshow The Green Room, hosted by David Pearl, and was also interviewed by former Twitter VP and best-selling author Bruce Daisley for his ‘No Office Required’ podcast on how we all might work in the future.
