We’re thrilled to be joining an inspiring panel

We’re thrilled to be joining an inspiring panel for a discussion on the importance of supporting women’s groups in the design industry at @_light_london later this month, taking place at @bdclondon

Join us on Thursday, 21st of November at 12.00 - 1:45pm in the Associations Lounge, Gallery Level.

We’ll be participating with Carmela Dagnello (@womeninlighting), Rachael Davidson (@womeninarchuk), James Poore (@jpld) and Neil Knowles (@elektra.lighting).

The session will be a frank discussion about why it is so important for both men and women to get behind Women’s Groups in the design industry and how male colleagues and peers can help change the narrative.

Kimberly Bartlett from ‘Women Lighting Professionals’ and Zoë Bonser from the 'Women in Furniture Network’ will also be taking part in the event and available on the day to answer your questions.

WOD was invited to host a discussion at @actiu_com

WOD was invited to host a discussion at @actiu_com’s stand during @orgatec Cologne last week. So we decided to take Actiu’s tag line “Life-friendly spaces” and got our expert panellists to share their thoughts on how to bring this tag line to life.

Our experts from the UK & Germany shared similar views about bringing the human-self into our design and centering our ideas and concepts to design workspaces that attract talent and also aids in retaining them. We discussed the challenges that we face while trying to bring sustainability, wellness and commercial balance to a project.

It is never a one-size-fits-all solution and establishing priorities is, therefore, important and needs creative solutions. We will publish a full report on our website later this week so you can hear the views of each of our expert speakers.

The event was well-attended and the guests enjoyed the discussion and the networking that followed. Thanks to ACTIU for hosting us on their amazing stand.
